Haiti Earthquake Relief: Over the coming weeks, St.
Matthew’s will receive special offerings designated to
support the relief effort of Lutheran World Relief for
Haiti. A basket is located in the rear of the Sanctuary in
which you can place your gift. Please make your check
payable to St. Matthew’s and on the memo line indicate
“LWR.” As a nation responded to the Charleston earthquake
of 1886, so we – in kind – respond to those who are
suffering today.
Friends: I am in Pasadena, California, taking a course at
Fuller Seminary.
Pastoral emergencies will be handled by Pastor Tom Cassem,
843-469-3630. If you need to reach me please
call the church office and either Debarah or Suzy will be
able to get the message to me. I intend to return on
January 30 and offer the sermon the next day. You will be
in my thoughts and prayers each day. Together in Christ,
Pastor Robert Wallace.
