Altar Flowers

All-Church Confirmation Celebration, Pentecost Party and Farewell Reception for Pastor Jim & Ida Blalock. The congregation is invited to gather in the Auditorium following Worship today to celebrate our confirmands and give thanks for the ministry and love Pastor Jim & Ida have shared with us.

If you desire prayer for any reason, our Prayer Partners will receive you in the Chapel after you have communed.

The
Afternoon Tea Boutique is open today at 12:00 pm. All proceeds benefit the programs of our Outreach Learning Center.

XYZ Rolling Bowlers meet tomorrow, June 1 at 1:30 pm at Ashley Bowling Lane. All adults 55 & over are invited to join. For information call Irene Bennett at the church office, Ext. 29.

Board Chairs will not meet tomorrow, June 1 at 6:30 pm. Ministry Boards will meet at 7:00 pm.

Tickets for the WELCA Semi-Annual Meeting and Luncheon on Wednesday, July 8th will be on sale between services beginning June 14th. Members of Circle 4 will be in the courtyard Sundays, June 14, 21, 28 & July 5. Cost: $10 per person. Come join us and learn more about Martin Luther and his life in the church. The food for the luncheon will be delicious. There will also be live music and door prizes. All members and friends of Saint Matthew’s are invited to attend. There is a Mother’s Lounge available to use anytime.
Room 201 in the Education Building located at the top of the steps by the Vanderhorst Street door is now available with rocking chairs and a changing table.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL Registration in the Education Hallway. Come experience Discovery Canyon: Exploring the Wonder of the Word! Invite your friends and neighbors for the week of June 21-25. There is something for everyone at this exciting VBS! Preschool children age 3 through children entering 5th grade will receive a VBS music CD when they register. Items needed for VBS Discovery Canyon decorating by June 7:
Variety of sizes of packing boxes, old baskets, dried flowers, Native American looking blankets, old camping gear, burlap, scraps of wood to be made into old street signs, anything resembling tumbleweed, cacti, and grasses. Please put items on the table in the Education Hallway and be sure to put your name on items you want returned. Please contact Courtney Prickett about donations and decorating.

LUTHEROAD DAY CAMP COMES TO MARTIN LUTHER CHURCH.
Camp is coming to Martin Luther Church
June 28 – July 3, 2009. For more information and registration forms are available at St. Matthew’s VBS display in the Education Hallway or they may be obtained at the MLLC church office or by calling 843 795-4855.

To Tanzania with Love…a dinner to honor our friends in Tanzania..Tickets available TODAY!
On Sunday, June 14, St. Matthew’s members and friends will gather at 6:30PM for an elegant evening of dining, entertainment, and information as we raise funds to send To Tanzania with Love for the Clinic in Magoye.
Dinner prepared by Hamby Catering and served by the youth. Tickets are $30 for adults and $5 for children.
Children will have their own menu and program in Room 101 with our nursery workers.
Tickets are available between services today and June 7, and after worship on May 31 in the Courtyard. To purchase your tickets during the week, please call Cindy Greenwood 723-1611 x 26. Seating is limited and all tickets must be purchased by June 7.

Help us fill the “Clinic Wall” in the Auditorium with bandaids by June 14! We’ll add a bandaid with your name and/or name of a loved one for a donation of any amount. Offering envelopes are available in the Narthex and Education Hallway. All donations will be listed in the program at the dinner and in the bulletin on June 21.
